The Thorny Devil, also known as the Moloch, Dragon Lizard, or Mountain Devil, is a unique lizard species in the Agamidae family. Its scientific name is Moloch horridus, and it is the only species in the genus Moloch. This lizard can grow up to 21 centimeters long. Female Thorny Devils are usually larger than males.
The Thorny Devil mainly eats ants and other small insects. Its body is covered with sharp, spiny structures on its back, tail, and head. These spines protect the lizard by making it hard for predators to attack or eat it.
This lizard faces threats from predators like black kangaroo rats, Goanna lizards, snakes, large birds of prey, and humans. Despite these dangers, the Thorny Devil survives well thanks to its excellent camouflage and defensive spines, which make it difficult for predators to catch.
Thorny Devils are mostly found in the Scorched Earth and southern areas of Ragnarok, as well as in the northeastern region, Fire Mountain, and the sandy areas of Crystal Isles and Lost Island.
