វាមានឈ្មោះវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រថា Nebulosa Neofelis មានសម្បុរពណ៌ក្រម៉ៅប្រផេះ នៅលើដងខ្លួនមានផ្ទាំងៗ ដូចពពកធំៗ នៅផ្នែកខាងក្រោយនៃផ្ទាំងនេះមានពណ៌ខ្មៅខ័ណ្ឌជាកំណាត់ដុំផ្ទាំងនីមួយ។ ដុំផ្ទាំងនេះរីកធំនៅផ្នែកខាងក្រោយស្មា ដែលចាប់ផ្តើមពីលើខ្នងរហូតស្ទើរដល់ក្រោមពោះ។ ច្រមុះមានពណ៌ស និងនៅលើថ្ងាសមានស្នាមអុចតូច។ វាមានកន្ទុយវែង អុចៗនៅផ្នែកខាងគល់ និងបន្ទះៗនៅផ្នែកចុង។ វាមានជើងខ្លី ប្រអប់ជើងធំងាយស្រួលក្នុងការប្រតោងមែកឈើ។ ខ្លាពពកងាយក្នុងការចំណាំណាស់ គឺយើងគ្រាន់តែក្រលេកមើលនៅលើដងខ្លួនរបស់វាមានផ្ទាំងដុំសណ្ឋានដូចដុំពពករាយពាសពេញដងខ្លួន។ វាមានទំងន់ចាប់ពី ១២-២៣គីឡូក្រាម និងប្រវែង ៨៤ស.ម។ ខ្លាពពកចូលចិត្តរស់នៅក្នុងព្រៃស្រោង ព្រៃពាក់កណ្តាលស្រោង និងព្រៃចំរុះ ហើយរស់នៅជាគូលើដើមឈើ។ អាហាររបស់វាមាន បក្សី ពស់ ជ្រូកព្រៃ ឈ្លូស ប្រើស ស្វាជាដើម។ ខ្លាពពកអាចបង្កើតកូនម្តងបានពី២-៤ក្បាល បន្ទាប់ពីពពោះអស់រយៈពេលប្រហែល ៩០-៩៥ថ្ងៃ។ ខ្លាពពកមាននៅភូមិភាគឦសាន និរតី និងភាគខាងជើងនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា។ វាត្រូវបានរកឃើញនៅប្រទេស ប៊ុយតាន ចិន ឥណ្ឌា ឥណ្ឌូនេស៊ី (កោះស៊ូម៉ាត្រា) ឡាវ ម៉ាឡេស៊ី សារ៉ាវ៉ាក់ ភូមា នេប៉ាល់ ថៃ និងប្រទេសវៀតណាម ខ្លានេះបានផុតពូជនៅប្រទេសបង់ក្លាដេស សឹង្ហបូរី និងតៃវ៉ាន់។ ខ្លាពពកទទួលរងការគម្រាមកំហែងដោយសារការបរបាញ់ និងការបាត់បង់ទីជម្រកដែលវាធ្លាប់ស្វែងរកចំណី និងរស់នៅ។ ខ្លាពពកត្រូវបានចាត់ចុះក្នុងបញ្ជីក្រហម IUCN ថាជាប្រភេទងាយរងគ្រោះថ្នាក់ (VU) នៅក្នុងពិភពលោក។ សូមចូលរួមអភិរក្សសត្វកម្រទាំងអស់គ្នា៕

Clouded Leopard: A Rare Tree-Living Wild Cat

The Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) is a rare and beautiful wild cat. It gets its name from the cloud-shaped patterns on its body.

Appearance and Features

This cat has grayish-brown fur with large, black-edged cloud-like spots. These markings cover its back and sides. It has a white nose and small black spots on its face. Its long tail is spotted at the base and banded at the tip.

It has short legs and large paws. These features help it climb trees easily. Its body can grow up to 84 cm long, and it weighs between 12 and 23 kilograms.

Habitat and Lifestyle

Clouded Leopards live in tropical forests, semi-evergreen forests, and mixed woodlands. They are shy and usually live alone. These cats spend a lot of time in trees and are hard to spot.

Diet

Their diet includes birds, snakes, wild pigs, deer, and monkeys. They are strong hunters, especially in the trees.

Reproduction

A female Clouded Leopard gives birth to 2 to 4 cubs. The pregnancy lasts about 90 to 95 days. Cubs stay with their mother until they can live alone.

Where They Live

In Cambodia, they live in the northeast, south, and north. They are also found in other countries, such as:

They have gone extinct in Bangladesh, Singapore, and Taiwan.

Threats and Protection

Clouded Leopards face many threats. These include habitat loss and illegal hunting. Because of these dangers, the species is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
